About Me

Hey! I'm Eric.

I'm a game designer, educator, and an "in-between".

As a nonbinary, queer, "fourth-culture" kid who grew up in both Korea and the U.S., I am passionate about creating experiences that tell the stories of "in-betweens" like me. My work explores identity crises, belonging everywhere and nowhere at the same time, and how the "in-betweens" like me find strength in grey zones that others might struggle in.

I'm currently pursuing an MFA in Interactive Media at USC, graduating May 2027. I got my BS in Game Design and Interactive Media at UC Irvine in 2024.

Non-Gamedev Experiences

I was the events coordinator, vice president, and design officer at UCI's Video Game Development Club.

I'm currently working as a producer, educator, and events coordinator at the Radical Play Lab at USC, under Prof. TreaAndrea Russworm.

I ran a 5 week game development course, working with 100 Black Men of OC and the Nicholas Academic Center. I spearheaded course design, volunteer logistics, and taught game design.

I worked as a program coordinator for the UCIxGATI summer gamedev program, organizing industry visits, guest lectures, and assisting in curriculum design.
